This is the first task you’ll encounter, and experts are already warning students not to underestimate it. Why it’s tricky?
It sounds simple, but it tests your grasp of syntax and complex structures. There will be 10 of these questions, and they require high grammar precision. Tricky questions contains Interrogative Sentence, relative pronouns and other harder grammar approach.

2. Write an Email(2026 new!)
This task asks you to respond to a specific academic or social scenario, such as emailing a professor about a grading error. You have only 7 minutes to read the prompt and write about 120 words, so being quick and precise is key. The most important thing to remember is that you must include three specific elements mentioned in the instructions—if you miss one, your score will drop! Why it’s tricky?
This task is about social etiquette. Since this task is graded by AI, it specifically looks for “Social Conventions” and politeness. Beginners often make the mistake of being too direct, like saying “… Change my grade.”
Instead, you should use polite, indirect phrases like “Would it be possible….~?” to show you understand professional communication. Try to make your request acceptable, and as polite as you can. when you write an email. Also, you must contain explainable background in the beginning of the email

3. Academic Discussion
This part of the exam is designed to simulate a real-life online class discussion board. You’ll see a professor post a question on an academic topic, followed by two short responses from students (let’s call them Juan and Alice). Your job is to jump into the conversation, answer the professor’s question, and contribute your own perspective to the discussion. Why it’s tricky?
It’s not just a simple “Yes or No” question. The topics are a bit deep. For example, “Should we bring back extinct animals?” It’s tricky because you have to think fast and should be able to persuade others with clear points. Also, AI grades your writing! If you write like you’re texting a friend, the AI might give you a low score. You need to sound academic but also like you’re part of a conversation.
