I usually go for a walk almost every single day, typically in the early evening after I've finished work and before it gets too dark outside. It's become such a consistent part of my routine that I genuinely feel like something's missing on the rare days I skip it.

I like to walk in a park near my apartment that has a nice paved path running alongside a small river, since it feels much more relaxing than walking along busy streets full of traffic and noise. Most of the time, I go by myself, since I actually enjoy having that quiet time to think and clear my head after a long day, though occasionally a friend or neighbor joins me if our schedules line up.

Walking is genuinely good for my health for a few different reasons. Physically, it keeps my joints and muscles active without putting too much strain on my body compared to more intense exercise, which matters since I sit at a desk most of the day. Mentally, it also helps me manage stress; there's something about being outside and moving that naturally improves my mood and helps we process whatever's been on my mind.

That's why I try to prioritize it even on busy days, because I've noticed that skipping my walk for too long makes me feel noticeably more tense and restless.
